The project is different from the main project we are doing during the semester. The reason to do it is we may handle many projects and ideas in a time when we work in architecture company. The is a group assignment to present an concpet within two days after visiting the site in Pittwater. Also, it is the porject to explain what an architecture is.
The trees in Pittwater show the positive and nective of the place. The place with sunlight grows plants as positive part, and the shadow is nective part.
Building is the result of architecture. The idea comes from the compination of positive and nective in the forest into a house. how to combine the cool wind and warm sunlight into one architecture. we try to create an area that allows people to choose to positive or nective part. Also, we use columns rather than window at the place in order to create a transparent view to the sea.
Function of the entire building is one of the part we concern about. What kind of space do the owner need? As a living place, they get everything, but the place is suitable to create a playground for them to relex as tree house.
The site plan shows the location of the playground, and the relationship with the existing house.
This is the section and elevation of the playground. It shows the strecture and material, and also the relationship between the place and human beings. People stand on top of the deck to enjoy the sunlight or at bottome part to get the shadow. there's a bit ditance between the wood to allow small sunlight into the bottom area.
