Ricky Swallow:
The idea of "Way" is from "The first one now 2001" of Ricky Swallow. The material of The first one now 2001 is pigmented resin, and plywood. He used great carving technical to do the human skeleton. In the work, we can see the neck, teeth, the bones of hands and arms, and ribs very clear. His sculpture is full of imaginative. There are lots of skulls in his works, and they stand for death. But for The first one now 2001, he created a ladder for the human skeleton. The human skeleton is in one’s death throes and the ladder is like a way to live. There is not only death but also live of his works.
Patricia piccinini:
The iead of "devour" is from "Swell" of Prtricia Piccini. Swell is part of sequence of works that the artist called "Wilderness", which examine the evolution of nature in relation to progressive technology. The colour of Swell is dull, and there are lots of sea waves seem to devour things.
